Suppressing defocus noise with U-net in optical scanning holography

چکیده
Optical scanning holography (OSH) records both the amplitude and phase information of a 3D object by 2D scan. To reconstruct volumetric image from an OSH hologram is difficult, as it suffers defocus noise other sections. The use random pupil can convert into speckle-like noise, which may require further processing in sectional reconstruction. In this paper, we propose U-shaped neural network to reduce speckle haze. Simulation results show that proposed method works effectively efficiently simple complex graphics.

On the fundamentals of optical scanning holography
Optical scanning holography is a real-time holographic recording technique in which holographic information about a three-dimensional 3D object is acquired using a single two-dimensional active optical scan. Applications of the technique include optical scanning microscopy, pattern recognition, 3D holographic display, and optical remote sensing. This paper introduces the basics of optical scann...

This paper provides a tutorial on the principles of holography, followed by a review of a newly developed 3-0 imaging technique in which 3-0 optical information of an object can be extracted by a 2 -0 optical scan of the object. The technique is called optical scanning holography (OSH). In the context of optical scanning holography, we discuss some of its potential applications such as holograp...

Abstract: Inverse imaging is a versatile technique for sectional image reconstruction in optical scanning holography. However, the matrix computation involved in the iterative process imposes a significant constraint on the size of the images. In this work, we develop a fast iterative method that circumvents the problem by taking advantage of the structures in the matrices. Experimental results...
متن کاملEdge-preserving sectional image reconstruction in optical scanning holography.
Optical scanning holography (OSH) enables us to capture the three-dimensional information of an object, and a post-processing step known as sectional image reconstruction allows us to view its two-dimensional cross-section. Previous methods often produce reconstructed images that have blurry edges. In this paper, we argue that the hologram's two-dimensional Fourier transform maps into a semi-sp...
متن کاملEdge Extraction Based on Aperture Synthesis in Optical Scanning Holography
Optical scanning holography (OSH) is an incoherent digital holography technique, with wide applications such as optical microscopy, remote sensing etc [1]. It uses a Fresnel zone plate (FZP) to record the volume information of an object by two-dimensional (2D) raster scanning. For optical image processing, it is highly desirable that the edge information can be extracted via reconstruction. Var...
